Would you to Learn to Kumihimo. Kumihimo is the ancient art of Japanese braiding. This beading project is is very intricate and detailed it looks complicated yet once you learn how to make it you cant believe how simple it is. Bead Addiction offers a beading class that incorporates kumihimo and beads. We often make the project with gemstone chips, top drilled pearls, firepolish and seed beads, This project can also be done with seed beads or just plain cord. Its a simple process using a circular disk which acts similar to a loom. In the beginning the process seems a little confusing but once mastered it is a favorite of most Bead Addiction customers. We teach you Kumihimo with beads it makes a a fabulous intricate beaded project. You will learn how to do a wire wrap to add a professional finish to your bracelet. Once the technique is mastered you may wish to Kumihimo with Rattail creating a beautiful braided cord. Many people create beautiful patterns in their cord by the quanity and patterns they string their disk with. When you advance a little you may find that you want to create a combination of cord and beads. Student must pre sign up / you will need to purchase your beads prior to the class and arrive with the beads pre strung. Stringing the beads is simple but does take some time. Bead Addiction likes you to arrive ready to begin learning. Once you learn this technique you will want to make a bunch of kumihimo projects. The combinations are endless maybe you will try leather, wire or just plain seed beads. The technique is the same the look is very different.
